The last two days of Sun practice have been, as coach Mike Thibault put it, "status quo." The team had a day off Monday and returned to prepare for Friday's game against red-hot Chicago, albeit without Lindsay Whalen. The MVP candidate point guard has mainly stayed on the sidelines as she continues to recover from a sprained right ankle, riding a stationary bike and doing rehab. She did some running today, and will try to participate in practice on Thursday, but for the time being, she remains questionable at best for Friday.
Considering the Sun have already locked up a playoff berth and hold a healthy two-game lead over second-place Detroit atop the East, don't be surprised if Whalen sits out another game, especially with how well the team played without her Sunday against Seattle. Friday's contest start a stretch of five games in nine days. That's a lot of opportunity to return if or when the Sun truly need her.
Check back here later tonight for some more details for practice, but for the time being, check out this very interesting look at the Sun and their win from Sunday.

Thanks, I was just coming to ask if you had an update on Whalen, so I was happy to see this post. I hope she will be able to play on Sunday so she can get 4 games in before the playoffs. She hasn't really played much since before the Olympics with the foul trouble against Indiana and then getting injured in the next game. But as long as she is completely healthy by the playoffs that's all that matters.
